The LED light (red, blue, yellow or purple) is absorbed by the skin and the dermis. This triggers cellular activity, which helps to renew skin cells and repair ageing tissue. After each treatment session, the skin looks more beautiful and radiant than before.

No. You will only feel a mild sensation of warmth during your treatment. You may also experience some very mild pink-like colouration of the skin during and just after the treatment, which will gradually fade within a short time.

After you have fully charged Silk'n LED Face Mask, you thoroughly clean and dry your face and hands. Make sure they are free from any make-up or dirt. Sit or lie down and place the face mask over your face. You can use the fasteners to fit the mask comfortably on your face. Finally, select one of the treatment therapies.

Some skincare products contain ingredients that can be photosensitive or reactive when exposed to LED light. Therefore, we advise performing the session on clean, dry skin, free from any makeup, dirt, serum or cream. Apply a serum or cream after your session to hydrate the skin. However, if you choose to use one beforehand, ensure it is compatible with LED light and fully absorbed before starting your session.

In manual mode, one single treatment session takes 10 minutes in which 1 prefered LED colour will be active. The mask automatically switches off after 10 minutes.

In auto mode, all 4 LED colours will be active and this treatment takes 15 minutes. The mask automatically switches off after 15 minutes.

Important: we advice to treat your skin no longer than 15 minutes per session.

If you are using the product for the first time, follow the schedule
below:

First week Use once every 3 days, max. 10 minutes at a time.

Second week Use once every 2 days, max. 10 minutes at a time.

Third week Use once every 2 days, max. 10–15 minutes at
a time.

Fourth week Use once every day, max. 10–15 minutes at a
time.

As soon as results show, adjust the frequency to once or twice
per week.

The effect of using this product mainly depends on your skin type. Additionally, results vary from person to person. Normally you can expect results in about 2-3 weeks.

After treatment you can apply a serum and/or a day/night cream to nourish your skin.

Yes. Because Silk’n LED Face Mask is not a laser, you can sunbathe immediately before or after the treatment. You don’t necessarily have to use a SPF cream, although this is always recommended due to the general ageing effect of UV light on the skin.

Silk’n LED Face Mask works in a different way from laser, which means that there is no need for a recovery period. The chance of skin damage is greatly reduced. You can immediately carry on with your daily activities.

This device is suitable from the age of 18 and up.

This product was not tested on people who underwent dermal fillers or professional (surgical) treatments. Therefore, we cannot advise to use this product in such cases. If one of these conditions applies to you, we advise to speak with your physician first, before you use LED Face Mask.

In case you underwent micro needling or ablative RF/laser, we advise to wait till your skin has completely healed before you use LED Face Mask. In case you have any concerns, consult your doctor first before you use LED Face Mask.

You can clean the mask by using a damp cloth or a water-based wipe. Then wipe it dry with a dry cloth.

Yes. Skin absorption is enhanced after phototherapy, so you can proceed with your daily skincare routine. If your skin feels dry, we recommend applying a hydrating sheet mask or a moisturizing cream right after to lock in moisture and reinforce the skin barrier.

We recommend pausing the use of strong active ingredients or photosensitizing agents, such as retinol (Vitamin A derivative), salicylic acid, and glycolic acid (AHA). Combining these exfoliating ingredients with phototherapy may cause redness or light sensitivity. Stick to gentle, soothing, and hydrating products during this period.

Since medical aesthetic procedures vary widely and skin conditions and recovery times differ per individual, we cannot provide a one-size-fits-all answer. We strongly advise consulting your physician or dermatologist before use to determine if it is suitable for your current skin state.

We do not recommend it. The device is designed to automatically shut off after 10 minutes. Phototherapy operates on a strict dosage principle—more is not necessarily better. Exceeding the recommended session time will not enhance results and may cause skin stress due to cumulative light and thermal energy. Please follow the standard session duration to ensure safety and optimal effectiveness.

If you are using the device for the first time, we recommend following the "Cleanse > Device > Skincare" sequence. Likewise, if you are introducing a new skincare product to your routine, apply it after your treatment. This prevents product ingredients from interfering with the device's output, avoids blocking light absorption, and allows you to properly monitor your skin's tolerance.
